On Saturday we celebrated with our family and friends for Charlie's first birthday. We are very blessed with a big family and wonderful groups of friends. Some of our new friends that I met from blogging and twitter attended as well, Steph and Amy! We are thankful to everyone who came and missed those who could not attend.
I planned for months. I worked on projects and crafts for weeks. Gary and I spent 2 whole days running around and gathering all the essentials to make the party a success. The hard work paid off. Everyone had fun. Lots of laughter was heard and I hope we did not disturb the library too much! Gary's Mimi even called us the next day and left a voice mail stating "The birthday party was wonderful. It was one of the best parties that I have ever been too. I was entertained the entire time. Thank you again for hosting a great day!" Since she is 89 and has been to a few shin-digs in her day, I will take that as a wonderful compliment.
I made all of the decorations. My cousin Carol started a bake shop out of her house and made the cakes/cupcakes. They were delicious. (If you are in the Pgh area and need her info, email me!) Gary and I made the cupcake stands, painted picture frames to match the theme and even bought huge pink and green buckets for the drinks to match! We ordered chicken and had a ton of fresh fruit and veggies. Lots of different kid friendly snacks. It was a delicious lunch!
The kids played hard. They ran and ran and ran. Danced and sang to all their favorite songs. The parents enjoyed conversations and watching the kids.
All 3 of my kids liked opening all of Charlie's gifts. She is a special little girl and was showered with love. She took a break out of opening gifts to do her favorite thing, READ a book!
Next up was cake. Charlie dug in and loved every minute of it. Dominic got in on the action with my sister and had a mini-cake battle as well.
Charlie ended her party with a nap while friends and family held her.
You think with all this fun that the day would have ended there, right? Well, you are wrong, haha. We went to an impromptu after party at our friend Stef and Grants house. It was so nice of them to continue the fun at their house. We brought over yummy extra food and hung out until almost 11 pm!
We are truly blessed with the great people that we know and love. Happy Birthday Charlie. WE ALL LOVE YOU!

Saturday Top Five Laughs
I am guest posting today for Melissa. Thank you so much for choosing me to do a post! I love her blog.
A little bit about me: I am a work at home Mom of three crazy kids ranging in age of 11 months to 10 years. I have 2 boys (Dominic and Logan) and baby girl (Charlie or Charlotte). They keep me running around like a chicken with my head cut off but I would not change it for anything. I am married to a lovely geek-tastic computer guy. After adopting our Border Collie Libby, our family was complete. We live life one day at a time (although I have some obsessive cleaning, organizing, spreadsheet making, control freak craziness in me) I really try to be as carefree as possible. If you would like to read about our adventures then come join my blog 'And then there were Three'
If you have never linked up for the blog hop, you are missing out! These are the best reads of the week. I love reading about everyone's funny little ones :)
And now onto the BEST OF our laughs...
5.Dominic got picked to attend the symphony for school. He was
picked for being smart, talented and interest in music. When his letter came
with his tickets "Ah yeah! I am a winner!"
4. We had friends over for dinner the other night. Logan loves
Brianna and so he gave her a kiss on the cheek. She had a funny look on her
face and wiped the kiss off. So Logan kissed her again. Brianna wiped it off a
second time. (obviously she was not impressed with his smooch...SO....) Logan
began singing "I'm sexy nan I know it." to her. All the while doing
his special dance for her. Only my 2 year old!
3. Logan took Charlies binki. She gave him a dirty look.
Slapped him in the face and took it back out of his mouth.
2. Logan grabbed my cell phone. "Mama I pway angwee
birs" "I text Nana. My sway HI." "My go Nana house and see
Bellwah." Apparently he has the attention span of a flea.
1. I took the 2 little ones out for a picnic lunch at the park
on Wednesday. Logan quickly made friends with 2 little girls and began running
around the park playing with them. Their little toddler giggles and sayings
were the greatest! "Ah you a copy cat" "Ah my bubba, my
Char-lit, my Mama, my Daddy, my Libby" " I mell like poop, see my
diah-pah"

Charlie turns ONE
Dear Charlotte
I dressed you in your Birthday Princess outfit. I placed your Happy Birthday corker bow in your hair. I sent a birthday treat in for you to share at school. Daddy and I made you your favorite dinner...Ravioli. We sang Happy Birthday. You opened your gifts. We had cake. Even with all of these things, I am having a hard time realizing that today is your birthday. You are ONE YEAR OLD today. It really seems like a few weeks ago that I was in the hospital delivering you.
You continue to amaze us with your personality, charm and grace. We love you so very much!
You are not yet walking, but that is okay. I will cherish every "first" you have as you are our last baby. You can wait as long as you want to make that next big milestone!
There are no words to show you exactly how I feel about today. No words to describe the amount of joy and love we have for you. Just know that we love you....the sweet, the sassy, the opinionated, the beauty!

Saturday Top Five Laughs
Hello Weekend! I am busy doing a Mothers of Multiples sale (trying to get the baby stuff out to make room for Charlie's new stuff). I will be happy when Sunday rolls around even though I cannot relax!
5. Logan has been into telling everyone what gender they are. "Mommy, you a grill (girl). Daddy you a boy. Brubba, you a boy. I a boy. Charlie, you a grill." But he does not understand that Libby (our puppy) is a girl. He just keeps saying "Libby is no grill. He's a boy. Yike me!"
4. Charlie has been quite the sassy queen lately. When she knows she is doing something wrong, she looks at us and says "uh uh uh!" *shaking her pointer finger* If we then tell her no, she looks at us with a mean face and hits us. I am pretty sure she is going to give us a run for our money.
3. We had Gary's brother and sister in law over for dinner last night. When I said it was time for baths, Logan ripped off his clothes. Starting singing and dancing around. Shaking his bum for all.
2. Charlie walks around holding onto toys (even ones that do not support her at all) but the girl refuses to take more than one step without 'assistance'....she is a total stinker. She just goes limp and falls over. I swear she is going it on purpose!
1. This one is not a laugh but I am too proud not to share. Dominic took in as much food as he could carry to his schools food drive. He does not want a child to go hungry, he says. He is a very giving boy. He loves to get gifts for children at Christmas. He always wants to donate money. He is a great child like that. *now if he would just get rid of the tween attitude then we would be golden, heh!*
