Pumpkin picking

This year we went to Reilly's farm. We had not gone to this farm since Charlie was a baby so I figured we would give it a go. Gary had to skip coming to help a friend but my Mom, sister/brother in law and friends joined in on our fun.

First up was pictures in the hay and waiting in line to take the hayride up to the pumpkin patch. We decided to get little pumpkins at the patch and would get a big family pumpkin later. (since Daddy wasn't with us to carry the big pumpkin to the car, lol)

When we got to the patch, the kids each picked their perfect pumpkin. Speaking of perfect pumpkins, look at my 3 perfect ones....

After the ride back down from the patch, Logan wanted to ride a pony. Charlie and Logan went into the petting zoo and fed a bottle to a pig and food to the goats.

The kids played some games and Logan went into a corn stalk maze all by himself! (more than once)

Soon it was time to go home, the kids were getting cold and tired.
It was a good day but we did miss Daddy!

Fall Photo Shoot

Charlie is not in preschool or school so she doesn't get school pictures. Instead, I did a fall photo shoot with her. Here are some of my favorite shots:

Zoo Boo

My sister asked if we wanted to go to Zoo Boo with her and some friends and family. We, of course, said yes! I think everyone in Pittsburgh was there, my IG feed was full of people we knew there! Some people we saw in person, others we missed. We love the zoo and had not been there for a few years. We had a membership for a long time but did not renew because we had been going SO much that the kids were getting bored going.

We had a HUGE group of people. We all met up and went into the park. Some were late due to traffic, others went in separate directions, others walked too fast or slow to keep together and some left early due to cranky kidlets. There were SO MANY people there that it gave me severe anxiety that we would lose one of our kids. Charlie got knocked over by 2 separate families, one of which did not even have kids with her. Neither family spoke English and neither said they were sorry for knocking her over. It was a crazy amount of people in one place so we could not stay all together with our group, so we met up off and on.

The kids enjoyed seeing the animals. Charlie loved seeing the princesses, especially Anna and Elsa! The kids got candy and ate every single piece as they got it. After the zoo, Logan went home with his cousin Ethan so that he could go to a Halloween party on Sunday with him.

We went home with Charlie and Dom, noticing that Charlie was now limping on her former broken leg. We went home and did yard work as a family, raking leaves. Around 6 pm, Charlie was complaining that her leg was pounding in pain. We gave her motrin and she went to bed early. She has since been still limping a bit. Poor muffin, we think walking so much was too much for her leg.

Turning Five, Turtles Style

We love celebrating our kids with our family and friends.

Logan wanted a TMNT party. I did some good old fashioned internet research to try to make his party special and see if I could get a big turtle for his party. I found Animal Tracks online and knew that it would be the perfect thing for Logan's party!

When everyone first started to arrive, we snacked on food. The kids jumped on the trampoline and we all caught up with each other. Soon enough it was time for Animal Tracks to arrive!

The kids got to see a bunch of insects and reptiles. They passed around a few, touched a few and even got to watch the turtle walk around our yard! The kids were enthralled!

Chenoa did a great job giving information on all of the friends that she brought. She answered questions from the kids and with over 50 people in attendance, it was a great 45 minute show!

After the fun of the animals, the kids got to do a pinata. Then we sang happy birthday and had cake/ice cream before opening gifts. Logan received a ton of TMNT stuff and he loved everything he got! We have such a great group of friends and our family is fantastic.

This girl, she takes my breath away with her beauty!

Thank you to all who came out to celebrate Logan and his special day with us. We had a great time!
