A Hoppening Easter

We had a great Easter! Actually, we had a great Easter weekend. Full of fun activities, family, friends and awesomeness. On Saturday we met up with our friends at our local park for the Easter egg hunt and to see the bunny. Logan and Charlie were in the same group at the hunt for ages 1-5. It was chaos and lasted all of about a whole minute. They did not get very many eggs but were happy to run through the fields finding them. Dominic was too old for the hunt (it only went up to 2nd grade) and he had a date with his girlfriend during the same time.

Then we went to see the bunny and Charlie only said hi from afar. She is still not too sure about characters dressed up getting too close to her. The kids got their goody bag with some candy, snacks and a drink. The sat down in the picnic area and had their snack then went to play at the playground. Dylan was not into playing on the swings and slides so Logan went for a walk in the woods with him and the Dads. Soon it was time to leave and finish up some projects and errands before dying our eggs that night. The kids decided playing with our neighbors was better than dying our eggs so I have zero pictures since it was a quick ordeal.

On Easter morning, the kids woke up and searched for their baskets. Not one child found their own basket! And Charlie found both boys for them.

Then we went to my father in laws for a little bit before heading to my moms for an egg hunt and dinner.

When we got to my moms, the kids immediately opened their baskets and went out for an egg hunt.

The kids had fun with their cousin, Aunt and my mom playing outside with their new Easter toys. We talked with family, had dinner and dove into dessert. Before long, it was time to leave and we decided to stop by my mother in laws to say hi.

We crashed Diana's dinner, saw family for a few minutes and then headed to our friend Stef's! They had decided to forgo driving from house to house and just have dinner there. We had plans for dinner but wanted to see our friends so we stopped by for a awhile in the evening.

Our kids played with their friends, the moms chatted in the living room and the husbands hung out in the game room downstairs.

This Easter was busy, fun and full of everything we love: Family and Friends!

Happy Birthday Charlie Bear!

Dear Charlie -

Today you turned 3 years old! You woke up, ran out of the bedroom and climbed into my lap. Your brothers started singing/shouting Happy Birthday and Logan was dancing around. You looked up at me and said "I am Three!"

Yes, yes you are baby girl. How this happened is beyond me. I swear that I just left the hospital with you in a carrier in a tiny white dress with a pink cardigan, size 0-3 months. You were deliciously squishy with a head full of dark hair with glorious golden highlights. Making squeaky noises and holding onto my finger as we drove home in the back seat of Daddy's brand new car. I can still feel the pain in my stomach from my tubal, the hugeness of my boobs that were not fitting well into my bra and the excitement to get home and see the boys interact with their baby sister. Yet, all of this was 3 years ago. Time flies they say. It really does, faster with each child!

Today we are having a play date with your girl friends at Burger King. You are very excited to play and eat a cupcake. Then tonight we are going to Chuck E Cheese as a family for dinner to play and celebrate you. The little girl who has complete us as a family. A fun filled day! Mommy is happy that I have your birthday off, it does not happen very often. Your birthday party is not for another week so we get to continue the celebration!

Annual Easter Party and Egg Hunt

We had our fun filled day with our friends. We started having an annual Easter party many years ago. We split the kids into a toddler group and the bigger kids.

First up was the egg hunt:

The toddlers went pretty quickly and with less chaos than the older kids. After all the eggs were found, the kids dug into their baskets. Then they played outside while we did some photos with the babies. Sweet Violet was not in the mood to play in the eggs. Amelia and Liam took their turns and they looked adorable.

And is there anything cuter than little baby hands or feet playing in the eggs? I think NOT.

Then we all went inside for an easy dinner of sandwiches, chips, pasta salad and brownies. After dinner the kids dyed Easter eggs and it was as fun as it sounds. A dozen kids (since the babies are not old enough) is a lot of kids dying eggs. So much noise and dye and glitter and crayons. Whoa boy!

We stayed up late talking and holding the babies. The toddlers crashed on the couches and the big kids played some board games in the game room. It was a perfect day!

Birthday Fun with friends

In February Victory turned 3!

We had a fun time celebrating her Doc McStuffins themed party. There was lots of yummy food, good friends, and fun.

After leaving V's party, we drove over to Stef's to celebrate Lexie turning 7!

Lexie had a glamorous birthday party and everyone dressed to impress. The kids continued to play while we continued to hang out with out friends. It was a fun day filled with laughter and great conversation. We adore our friends.

Happy birthday to these 2 sweet little girls!
