Kid Free in NYC

A couple weekends ago, hubs and I took a trip. Sans kids. With good friends. It was fabulous!

We took a Megabus up to NYC during the night on Friday. We got some sleep along the way. Sat at a table for 4, facing each other. It was not the most comfy thing. But hey, there were no ankle biters!

We arrived in the morning on Saturday and had an entire day to spend in New York. First up, breakfast!  We ate a small joint. Very entertaining when the older lady kept hitting the younger on the arm. The mocha iced coffee hit the spot.

For the first couple hours, we wandered around the city. It was nice to just...go. No where to be. No one to answer to. No worries. Just us and the city!

Then we made a plan. Decided on visiting the Empire State Building. Took some taxis up town and down town. Had a carriage ride in Central Park. Did some shopping in Times Square. Ate lunch at Lucille's Bar and Grill BB King. Encountered a lovely fight at a rummage sale that we stopped at on our way to Obscura. Had dinner in little Italy. Shopped in China Town.

Unfortunately, Gary did not back up his phone. So we lost almost all of the pictures from out time there. Big bummer.  I do have one picture from Obscura and one from Central Park!

We had a great trip, alone. It is very needed to get away from kids once in awhile. To remember why you got married in the first place. To enjoy time with just adults. To pretend that you actually like each other ;)

    1. Yes but it is rare to get a fare that small. Ours was great priced but you have to buy tickets early to get good pricing.

    1. I know! I did not want to carry it around since we took the bus. Too much to carry in the heat :)
