We can't wait for June

Bonus points to anyone who can name the song that the title was from!

We headed to Ocean City / Atlantic City New Jersey this past week. We decided on 3 days at the beach and hitting The Crayola Factory on the 4th day as we headed home. Last year 5 days at the beach and a day in D.C. was too much for our little ones.

I woke up after only 3 hours of sleep Monday morning at 1 am. Gary and I had already packed the car so I jumped in the shower and woke him up. We picked up the kids and off we went. Surprisingly Dom had fallen asleep within 15 minutes but the tots, had stayed awake for over an hour. They slept off and on the entire 8 hour trip. Aside from Charlie getting car sick, it wasn't too bad of a ride. (we ended up buying motion sickness meds for both of the little ones, they both got sick in the car this trip and it helped!)

We arrived in Jersey a little after 10 am. We drove around looking at the houses, the shops and picked up Fractured Prune doughnuts. We checked into our hotel at noon, unpacked the car and headed for the Atlantic City beaches. We picked up Tony Baloney's pizza on the way.

The next day we spent on the boardwalk and at the amusement park. It was HOT! The kids enjoyed some rides and some mini golf. (we actually on did 3 holes at golf because, well, Charlie is only 2)

The final day in Ocean City was spent at the beach. It was a great day. Relaxing. The kids had a great time running around the beach. Digging holes. Splashing and jumping waves.

Then we spent the evening taking the kids pictures on the beach. We even managed to get a good shot of all 5 of us, even though Gary and I had no intention of being photographed. A nice lady offered and I jumped at the chance! (I am almost always behind the camera, but Dom is starting to like taking pictures too...so you may see more of me, ha)

We had a great time. The kids LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach and are already asking when we can go back. Logan had a mini melt down when we couldn't ride the Ferris wheel so we are going to Idlewild in a few weeks. Plus the kids have their first concert in a couple weeks too!
