End of Summer - Backyard Camping

Our last big fun thing of summer was backyard camping with our friends. I am not really a camper. I do not like sleeping on the ground and my back really does not allow it, anyway. I am more of a trailer type camper! However, we hosted the camp out since it was FOR THE KIDS!

Grant and Rex arrived early to help Gary put together our new trampoline. Logan had been asking for one for awhile and we got it as a combined gift for the kids. It was a BIG hit at the camp out.
As soon as everyone arrived, the guys set up tents. The moms entertained the kids. Amber and I ran out to get some last minute batteries and chairs.

Soon enough, we were cooking by the campfire. Stef made crock pot mac-n-cheese and we cooked hot dogs over the fire. We also had s'mores and marshmallows.

The kids played in a small tent, ran around the house, jumped on the trampoline, played on the swing set, played in the sand and had a blast. The adults sat by the fire and sang songs, talked and just relaxed. It was a great night of fun and friends.

  1. What a great time! We love camping but so need a new camper. Our old jalopy is 20+ years old and basically a tent on wheels. No air, no TV, no nothin'. The kids love it anyway!

  2. It was such a fun night! I hope we do it again next year!
